An exciting position focused on Patent Docketing! This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team in an environment that values precision and professionalism.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate docketing system, accurately creating and maintaining records for domestic and international patents
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all docketed deadlines and actions, ensuring timely updates and compliance
  • Process and update systems based on communications received from the USPTO, clients, attorneys, foreign associates, and annuity service providers
  • Provide timely updates on docketing changes to relevant stakeholders in line with company policies
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all patent-related deadlines are met without exceptions
  • Perform thorough quality reviews of docketing data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors
  • Manage vendor instructions related to annuity payments and international patent deadlines to ensure timely processing
  • Stay informed on changes to patent laws, rules, and procedures that impact docketing processes
  • Generate detailed reports using PATTSY WAVE and Global IP Estimator to support operational needs and decision-making

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe
  • College degree or business school training is desirable
  • Prior experience with patent preparation, prosecution, and/or IP docketing is a plus
  • Familiarity with the PATTSY WAVE docketing system is preferred
  • Knowledge of PCT Safe, ePCT, and Global IP Estimator is advantageous
  • Previous experience in a law firm and with patent docketing is preferred

Nice to have:

  • College degree or business school training is desirable
