Job Responsibility

  • Assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation
  • Draft patent applications and responses to office actions
  • Advise lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions
  • Prepare responses to office actions and other USPTO communications
  • Study invention disclosures and prepare patent specifications
  • Perform prior art searches
  • Assist with litigation and transactional projects
  • Communicate with clients and foreign counsel

Requirements

  • Admitted to the USPTO
  • 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience as a patent agent or technical advisor
  • Top academic credentials
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to function and collaborate smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related science is required
  • Preference for candidates with a master's degree
