Job Description:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards; comply with food safety policies and procedures; follow sanitation and cleaning procedures; monitor food quality; perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
follow compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
wash and disinfect kitchen area
set-up and break-down work station
follow compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures
monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served
report accidents or unsafe work conditions
complete safety training and certifications
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
develop and maintain positive working relationships
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects
comply with quality expectations and standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
less than 1-year related work experience
no supervisory experience
compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
ability to lift objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures
compliance with safety policies and standards.
