Job Description:

Highly-acclaimed Marea, from famed hospitality firm Altamarea Group and located in Central Park South, is looking for energetic & passionate Pastry Cooks to join the team. Job Responsibility:

  • AM/PM service and/or production
  • Working in a learning environment with room for professional development and growth
  • Operating in a clean work space and producing top-quality desserts to support the pastry team
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to kneel, walk, stand, reach/extend arms, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
  • Must be able to work in a kitchen environment for prolonged durations without assistance
  • Perform other duties as directed by kitchen management

Requirements:

  • Baking/Pastry degree or relevant high-end restaurant experience
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment and manage pressure well
  • Responsible, respectful and team player
  • Physical requirements include: ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and to stand, walk up and down stairs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of time
  • Flexible schedule and open availability (full-time) to meet business needs
  • 2 years experience
