The Four Seasons Resorts Lāna’i is looking for a Pastry Cook IV who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams’ have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. The Pastry Cook IV is an entry-level position dedicated to developing a foundational knowledge of ingredients, techniques, and product handling.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the preparation of a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates, and showpieces
Follow production requirements, banquet event orders, and quality standards to ensure consistency and excellence
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety and hygiene guidelines
Work collaboratively with the pastry team to support daily production and ensure seamless kitchen operations
Demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, and a positive work ethic
Communicate clearly and work professionally with team members and supervisors
Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as sheeter, ovens, proof box, Robot Coupe, and mixers
Requirements:
Legal work authorization in United States
Ability to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed
Weekend and Holiday availability required
At least 1 year of culinary or pastry-related experience and a foundational understanding of pastry techniques
Culinary school education is preferred but may be substituted with relevant hands-on experience
Genuine passion for pastry and a commitment to learning and growing in a luxury kitchen environment
