Job Description:

The Pastry Cook III prepares and cooks food according to recipes and presentation standards, ensuring quality, proper portioning, and adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols. Responsibilities include prepping ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and collaborating with other team members to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. The role requires physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and moving across various surfaces while maintaining professionalism.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
monitor quality of food prepared and portions served
ensure compliance with food safety policies
set-up and break-down workstations
adhere to sanitation and cleaning procedures
report equipment issues to management
develop and maintain positive team relationships
uphold company policies and professional standards

Requirements:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures
check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management
wash and disinfect kitchen area
set-up and break-down work station
follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures
monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and uniform standards
adhere to safety and security policies
develop and maintain positive working relationships
meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 25 pounds and working on uneven surfaces

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
less than 1-year related work experience
