Job Description:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods. Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing
Safely use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances
Follow food safety handling policies and procedures
Check temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
Wash and disinfect kitchen area
Set-up and break-down work station
Follow sanitation and cleaning procedures
Monitor quality of food prepared and portions served
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Maintain uniform and personal appearance clean and professional
Develop positive working relationships with others
Support team to reach common goals

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Less than 1-year related work experience
No supervisory experience required
Ability to follow recipes, quality and presentation standards
Ability to safely use baking and measuring tools/equipment
Knowledge of food safety handling policies and procedures
Ability to monitor food quality and portions
Physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, bend, twist, pull, stoop
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
