Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is looking for a talented Pastry Cook 2 to join our Pastry team. This role will be responsible for preparing sweet treats and baked items such as pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates, and show pieces in accordance with guest requests and banquet event orders.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare pastry items according to guest orders following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards
Complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
Start food items prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to prepare beyond estimated needs
Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment
Date all food containers and rotate as per policies
Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
Return all unused food items to designated storage areas
Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems
Control food waste, loss and usage per policies
Requirements:
Culinary education or equivalent experience
Minimum two years culinary school or related work experience
Intermediate culinary knowledge
Ability to operate, maintain, and properly clean all kitchen equipment
Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours per shift
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally throughout shift
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Valid work authorization for the U.S.
