Job Description:

As a Pastry Commis at Rissai Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, you will play a key role in preparing exceptional baked goods while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will exemplify the Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton, ensuring excellence and delivering world-class service.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes
prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing
monitor food quality and portions
maintain sanitation and hygiene standards
comply with company policies and procedures
maintain positive working relationships
perform physical tasks as required including lifting and carrying
perform other job duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes
prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing
use baking and measuring tools/equipment appropriately
comply with food safety handling policies and procedures
check and report correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
wash and disinfect kitchen area
set up and break down work station
comply with sanitation and cleaning procedures
monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served
follow company policies and procedures related to safety and security
complete safety training and certifications
maintain clean and professional personal appearance
develop and maintain positive working relationships
comply with quality expectations and standards
perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
perform job duties as requested by supervisors.

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
less than 1-year related work experience.
