Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare a variety of pastry items with consistency and precision, following recipe guidelines as well as production, portion, and presentation standards
  • Set up and organize your station, ensuring all mise en place is ready for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
  • Prepare ingredients and products in advance while carefully aligning production with forecasted needs to minimize waste
  • Operate, maintain, and ensure the proper cleaning of all kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, food processors, slicers, steamers, and other pastry tools
  • Follow food safety and storage procedures by properly labeling, dating, and rotating ingredients while maintaining optimal temperatures for all perishable items
  • Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and support efficient kitchen operations by ensuring proper preparation and line set-up
  • Contribute to controlling food costs by minimizing waste and adhering to company policies on food handling and usage
  • Support the team with preparation for upcoming shifts, and assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Collaborate across kitchen sections and assist in other culinary areas when required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

Requirements:

  • Culinary school education or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Previous experience in a pastry or culinary role, ideally within a professional kitchen
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to safely operate and maintain a range of kitchen equipment
  • A keen eye for detail, organization, and a passion for delivering high-quality pastry products
  • Fluency in Italian (spoken and written)
  • knowledge of English is a plus
  • Successful candidates must hold legal authorization to work in Italy at the time of application
