Job Description

Prepare and cook food following recipes and standards; Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene policies; Maintain quality and proper food portioning; Collaborate positively within a team; Follow company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
  • Follow food safety handling policies and procedures
  • Check kitchen appliances and food temperatures and report issues
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area and follow sanitation procedures
  • Set-up and break-down work station
  • Monitor the quality of food and portions served
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team goals
  • Comply with quality expectations and standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Less than 1-year related work experience
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds
  • Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
