We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Pastry Chef Demi or CDP to join the team at Coogee. You will work closely with the head chef in developing the pastry offering and will own the pastry section. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their passion and creativity to the next level and have input into the offering.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with the head chef to develop and enhance the pastry offering, incorporating seaside dining and nostalgic elements
Take ownership of the pastry section, ensuring the highest standards of execution and presentation
Train and supervise junior staff members, ensuring they are capable of autonomously handling pastry preparation
Maintain good communication with the kitchen team and collaborate effectively with other chefs and staff members
Requirements:
A passion for all things pastry related
Experience in a high-volume kitchen setting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Creativity and a passion for creating high-quality pastries and desserts
