Job Description:

Goose Goose Bake Pty Ltd, a local favourite in Rozelle, is seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, creating, and presenting a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our exacting standards and delight customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and execute a diverse range of pastries, bread, and desserts, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation
  • Develop and create new pastry and bread offerings using local flavours and seasonal ingredients
  • Oversee ingredient ordering, storage, and inventory management to maintain quality and minimize waste
  • Execute the complete pastry production process, including dough preparation, baking, cooling, and decoration
  • Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene, safety, and WorkSafe regulations
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification
  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a bakery setting
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques and high-quality food preparation
  • Knowledge of Australian Food Hygiene Regulations and safe handling practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
