The Role We are now looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled pastry chef who is eager to refine their craft and contribute to a high-performing team within a prestigious and fast-paced environment. As Pastry Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your section, ensuring the consistent delivery of beautifully executed pastries that reflect Fortnum & Mason’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Job Responsibility
Take ownership of your pastry section, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards
Support senior chefs in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining consistency and quality across service
Demonstrate strong organisation and time management to ensure smooth service delivery
Maintain high levels of food safety, hygiene, and due diligence at all times
Assist with stock control, ensuring accurate usage and minimal waste
Identify and communicate any operational challenges to the senior team proactively
Collaborate effectively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
Contribute to maintaining the overall excellence of the Tea Salon through attention to detail and pride in your work
Requirements
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or Commis Pastry Chef within a high-quality kitchen
A genuine passion for pastry, baking, and Afternoon Tea-style offerings
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistency and presentation
A positive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen standards
Demonstrates reliability and strong tenure in previous roles
