Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational teaching assistant who has the expertise, patience and knowledge to be able to support some our more vulnerable learners, particularly those with SEMH needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school in the third year of its journey and be a key part of shaping our inclusion support within the school.We have a fantastic team who are passionate about making sure every child is valued and can succeed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the vision and strategic direction of the school by providing outstanding pastoral care that reduces barriers to learning
  • Identify and support students who may require regular provision to overcome their barriers to learning
  • Liaise regularly with the Inclusion team to plan and deliver effective targeted support to individuals and/or groups of students
  • Provide administrative support for the Inclusion team
  • Develop self-regulation tools for some of our learners
  • Support staff in providing effective pastoral care of vulnerable students
  • Be a point of contact and support the work of outside agencies
  • Work closely with the class teachers and SLT to ensure the children in our care thrive

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a primary classroom is desired
  • Kind, patient and dedicated to making a difference to children's learning
  • Enjoy working with children
  • Passionate and committed to helping children develop as independent and confident individuals
  • Expertise, patience and knowledge to support vulnerable learners, particularly those with SEMH needs
  • Enthusiastic and inspirational
