Job Description

We are working with a specialist SEN school near Sevenoaks, Kent who are seeking an experienced Pastoral Lead to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a key role supporting pupils with additional needs, focusing on wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement, while working closely with teaching and senior leadership teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading and supporting pastoral provision across the school
  • Working closely with pupils with SEN and associated social, emotional, or behavioural needs
  • Providing targeted support 1:1, in small groups, and within the wider school environment
  • Liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies where required
  • Being a consistent, calm, and supportive presence for pupils

Requirements

  • Has relevant experience in a pastoral, behaviour, SEN, or similar support role
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Is confident supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Is resilient, patient, and proactive
  • Can commit to a full-time role, starting ASAP or after May half term
