Job Description:

The Pasta Counter Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Pasta Counter in the Harrods Food Hall and managing the counter and stockroom. This involves ensuring high presentation standards, effective stock control and smooth operations, as well as leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintaining full compliance with food safety and company standards. This is a full-time, 40-hour contract with rotating shifts between 8:00am and 9:30pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the Pasta Counter and the team
  • Manage the team on a day-to-day basis while also greeting, serving, and engaging with customers to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Manage rotas and take ownership of the team labour budget
  • Maintain strong product knowledge to confidently answer customer questions, make recommendations, and drive sales through effective upselling
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of both Harrods and Pasta Evangelists policies and procedures
  • Stay informed on current sales, promotions, and product launches
  • Responsible for food ordering, stock counts, and managing deliveries upon arrival
  • Ensure all team members, including yourself, complete required training, including food safety and health & safety, and consistently adhere to company standards
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards across the counter, including pasta and sauce displays
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety requirements at all times
  • Act as the key point of contact with the Pasta Evangelists central team regarding communications, product range, marketing, and social initiatives

  • Previous experience in the hospitality or food retail sectors is required, ideally in a supervisory or management role
