Pasta Cooks craft exquisite pasta dishes, mastering the art of pasta making from scratch. Responsibilities include creating innovative recipes, ensuring quality control, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. They are responsible for creating different pastas according to Aqua Restaurant Group recipes and standards while consistently checking the pasta products and adjusts methods to achieve high quality pasta.
Job Responsibility
Create and prepare pasta dishes according to the restaurant's menu
Inspect and ensure the quality of ingredients used in the pasta dishes
Develop new pasta dishes and suggest menu improvements
Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to safety and hygiene regulations
Work with junior chefs and kitchen staff on pasta preparation techniques
Collaborate with other chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques related to pasta preparation and cooking
Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Requirements
Proven experience as a pasta cook or similar role
In-depth knowledge of pasta types, ingredients, and cooking methods
Ability to create new pasta dishes and recipes
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Good sense of taste & smell
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with other kitchen staff
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed.
