Job Description

We are looking for a Parts & Service Specialist to join our team in New York in a Contract to permanent role. This position supports both customer-facing sales activity and back-end order fulfillment, making it ideal for someone who combines technical product knowledge with strong service instincts. The right candidate will help customers identify the best solutions, manage quotations and orders with accuracy, and contribute to continued business growth through responsive support and industry expertise.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare detailed pricing proposals in response to customer requests and product needs
  • Guide customers by explaining product options, specifications, and practical applications with accuracy and clarity
  • Manage sales transactions through the full order cycle, ensuring documentation, entry, and follow-through are completed correctly
  • Respond promptly to incoming questions and requests to maintain a high level of customer service
  • Pick, organize, and pack outgoing orders that may include parts, fittings, piping materials, and related fixtures
  • Support the layout, diagnosis, and problem-solving of hydronic heating systems, including baseboard, radiant, and steam applications
  • Build customer relationships through proactive communication and participation in industry events or trade associations that support sales development

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related industry environment
  • Working knowledge of technical products, system applications, and design concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to assist customers clearly and effectively
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and a consistent approach to accuracy
  • Self-directed work style, positive attitude, and attention to detail in presentation

  • Receive and visually check all incoming parts for physical damage
  • Maintain inventory and stock rotobins and operating supplies throughout assigned areas using checklists, personal communications, and periodic visual checks
  • Salvage materials, tools, and GSE for resharpening and coordinate recertification as required by assigned area
  • Reorder materials, tools, GSE, and/or inventory supplies with regards to aircraft delivery schedules and/or maintenance
  • Assist in cycle count, perpetual, and work-in-progress inventories as required by assigned area
  • Package all items for shipment in the appropriate manner, complying with requirements for priority items, Aircraft-On-the-Ground (AOG), hazardous regulations, import/export regulations, spares, and/or production

  • Perform all store opening/closing duties, including performing day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits according to company policy, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors and securing building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicle(s) parked in secure designated area
