We are looking for a detail-oriented Parts Coordinator to join our team in Chesapeake, Virginia. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of stock, and coordinating the timely procurement and organization of parts. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining efficient operations.
Job Responsibility:
Receive and label incoming stock and customer-ordered parts for proper identification
Organize and store items systematically in designated areas, including warehouses and supply rooms
Conduct inventory checks bi-monthly to ensure stock levels adhere to management-defined thresholds
Process returns for defective or warranty-covered parts promptly and efficiently
Monitor outstanding orders and follow up on parts that have not yet arrived
Place orders for required parts to support ongoing projects and job completion
Finalize purchase orders by reconciling invoices and verifying costs
Verify shipments upon arrival to confirm the accuracy and condition of received parts
Operate forklifts to assist with the movement and storage of inventory
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support inventory and operational needs
Requirements:
Proven experience in inventory management and tracking
Familiarity with purchase order processes and reconciliation
Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Effective communication skills, including handling inbound calls
Knowledge of supply chain procedures and order management
Proficiency in maintaining accurate inventory records
Capability to work independently and as part of a team
