An exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Manager to join a highly respected membership organisation representing the UK’s financial and professional services sector. To help lead and deliver the membership organisation’s sponsorship strategy, securing and growing sponsorship revenue in line with the organisation’s commercial goals. The Partnerships Manager will focus on building and managing relationships with sponsors and partners, with a particular emphasis on the Excellence in Financial Services Awards, industry survey, and other key partnership opportunities as outlined in the commercial strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Key account planning and management
Develop and execute a sponsorship sales plan to achieve ambitious revenue targets
Identify, approach, and secure headline and supporting sponsors for flagship events
Build and maintain a pipeline of sponsorable reports, campaigns, and thought leadership outputs
Develop and promote innovative sponsorship packages
Collaborate with Account Managers to cross-sell sponsorship opportunities
Relationship management
Build and nurture strong relationships with current and prospective sponsors
Work closely with colleagues across internal teams to deliver value for sponsors
Act as a key point of contact for sponsors
Strategic development
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Use data-driven insights to tailor sponsorship offerings
Support the development and launch of new products
Awards and survey programme
Lead on securing and managing sponsors for the Excellence in Financial Services Awards
Requirements:
Proven track record in sponsorship sales, partnership management, or business development, ideally within financial services, events, or trade body environments
Strong commercial acumen and experience of delivering against ambitious revenue targets
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
Experience developing and managing sponsorship packages for events, awards, or research outputs
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
CRM experience and a data-driven approach to sales and relationship management
