As a Partnership, Launch & Expansion Manager, you will be at the forefront of Uber’s growth strategy in Japan. You will be responsible for two critical pillars that drive our business: Launch & Expansion and Strategic Partnerships. We are looking for a high-impact individual who can balance data-driven prioritization with creative problem-solving to scale our footprint and deepen our brand presence.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the expansion of our service areas
Manage multiple launches —ranging from strategic prioritization and schedule management to monitoring the marketplace health (supply-demand balance) of newly launched areas
Collaborate closely with the supply teams and bring a creative mindset to stimulate demand
Leverage Uber’s global brand equity to create powerful synergies with external partners, including municipal governments, airlines, and other industry leaders
Acquire new customers and increase frequency by designing and executing collaborative projects
Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrate excellence in end-to-end project management
Build business models to better understand trends, provide useful insights, and track productivity of initiatives
Build insightful reports and presentations to communicate business performance & strategic opportunities
Deep dive into our biggest marketplace and core experience challenges and navigate high-touch issues through critical thinking and ideation
Lead initiatives, strategies and processes and work with other operations teams across the world to grow strategic and long term opportunities
Meet with potential external partners, such as municipal governments and industry leaders to negotiate deals
Expertly manage external stakeholders to find win-win solutions for Uber and the partner
Manage various internal stakeholders to optimize the mobility marketplace
Possess the analytical depth to understand how seasonality, regional nuances, and the granular components of supply and demand impact our marketplace health
Formulate sharp hypotheses, conduct rigorous analysis, and translate those insights into concrete, end-to-end action plans
Use data to build compelling narratives, aligning diverse internal stakeholders and driving complex projects forward
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Project management experience
Data-first problem solving experience with excel/data management
Experience with working with external stakeholders
Japanese Fluency / Business English
Experience in strategy, operations, and program management
