We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Partnerships & Fundraising Officer to help grow the support that makes this work possible. Job Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners, donors and supporters
  • Represent YMCA Norfolk at events, networking opportunities and presentations
  • Identify and grow corporate partnership opportunities
  • Develop compelling proposals, sponsorship packages and engagement offers
  • Research and approach new prospects aligned to our mission
  • Deliver impactful campaigns through storytelling, events and digital content
  • Support major donor and legacy giving activity
  • Help donors understand the real impact of their support
  • Monitor and report on fundraising activity and income
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
  • Contribute to strategic planning and future growth

Requirements

  • Experience in fundraising, partnerships, business development or a similar role
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to write engaging proposals and presentations
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative approach

Nice to have

  • Experience with corporate partnerships, major donors or legacy fundraising
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and data-led engagement
  • Insight into the local community or fundraising landscape

  • Identifying prospects, developing and implementing cultivation and solicitation strategies, tracking progress, and staying on top of existing, new, and developing funding opportunities
  • Managing and cultivating relationships with existing major donors and prospects, acting as their main point-of-contact at the organisation and conducting outreach in a timely and professional manner
  • Researching, preparing, submitting, and managing proposals that demonstrate a compelling case for support
  • Working closely with the Fundraising Team Lead to develop and deliver an annual revenue strategy for major giving from individuals, foundations, corporates, and legacies
  • Working with fundraising colleagues to develop segmented appeals and stewardship premiums for the major donor audience
  • Coordinating and hosting donor events and meetings, both in-person and virtually
