The Nelson Trust provides holistic support for women involved with the Criminal Justice System (CJS) under the supervision of the National Probation Service. Women include those serving a community order and women released from HMP Eastwood Park. The Nelson Trust Women’s Centres offer gender-responsive, trauma-informed practical and emotional support and interventions to address needs including housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families, and education, training and employment with the aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women to access opportunities to reach their full potential. The Nelson Trust Women’s Centres are a unique resource – a safe, women-only space where a wide range of problems related to offending, safety and well-being can be addressed in a warm and supportive environment. As Service Development Manager, you will lead the Dyfed Powys team, providing clear direction, expert guidance, and strong leadership to ensure women can access effective pathways away from the criminal justice system and move towards achieving their full potential. At the heart of this role is collaboration. You will bring together local organisations, decision-makers, and women with lived experience to shape and deliver improved outcomes. Through this, you will play a key role in developing and embedding a sustainable Whole Systems Approach (WSA) for women—one that is responsive, coordinated, and centred on individual needs. You will work closely with partners across both Dyfed Powys and North Wales to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, consistent service. Alongside this, you will drive the development of strong local partnerships, promote co-location opportunities, and support the growth of women’s satellite hubs, ensuring services are accessible within women’s own communities.
