Job Description:

Be part of a team bridging global partners, scientific insights, and sustainability agendas within IKEA. The role focuses on topics related to climate, nature, human rights, and other areas of sustainability, impacting the business and society.

Job Responsibility:

Lead external engagement for selected sustainability topics
Contribute to development of sustainability topics and participate in internal cross-functional working groups
Lead relationships with partners, including NGOs and business organisations
Coordinate IKEA standpoints and gather insights
Engage in advocacy efforts
Support planning for global events, messages, and speaking points
Support IKEA sustainability strategy and policies development
Support annual reporting
Integrate sustainability into communication plans.

Requirements:

Solid knowledge and interest in at least one sustainability topic area
Experience interacting with stakeholders including NGOs, UN organisations, or policymakers
Familiarity with legal requirements like ESG/CSRD reporting initiatives
Passion for societal and sustainability topics
Knowledge on emerging sustainability developments
Experience planning and executing strategic sustainability projects such as engagement activities or sustainability reporting.
