Job Description

The Partner Technical Consultant role is primarily technical with a strong Cloud Solution based focus. Technical solution skills combined with an understanding of Microsoft methodologies and a good Partner Ecosystem understanding will establish a trusted relationship and provide a unique value to Microsoft Partners. Consultative Mindset approach – PTCs require the soft and communication skills to quickly understand and verify the Partner request, discuss technical information and solutions, as well as to identify all required information of the Partner. We are looking for a consultant with expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The role requires strong ERP technical and development expertise as well as consulting skills, representing the “Business Applications” Solution Area and Workloads like Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain, Dynamics 365 Commerce, Dynamics 365 Project Operations to represent the Technical Presales and Deployment Services business needs and to develop our technical capabilities across related workloads and technologies. Through delivery of effective guidance, PTCs share best practices empowering Microsoft Partners to continually deliver high-quality engagements with customers.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides Partners with Guidance and acts as Trusted Advisor
  • Helps Partners during the presales to deployment lifecycle on a range of technical topics
  • Consults Partners through courses of action by helping to find appropriate solutions to enable new customer sales or optimization of existing customer deployments
  • Builds lasting relationships through effective technical engagement in Consulting Services, enhancing Partner Experience and helping build Partner competency and capacity
  • Cultivates Trusted Advisor Relationship to accelerate Partner adoption and productive use/development of Microsoft solutions
  • Delivers 1:1 Technical Consultations to aid with Technical Presales and Advisory Services
  • Performs scoping activities, reacts confidently to Partner requests and sets-up proper expectations
  • Takes-on requests with medium to high levels of complexity and resolves them in a timely manner
  • Delivers 1:1 remote consultation service with good efficiency regarding preparation, delivery and admin time
  • Contributes to technical triage and technical reviews in the areas of expertise
  • Maintains Solution Area Readiness and Technical Expertise
  • Maintains up-to-date technical/industry knowledge and demonstrates “Experienced” or “Expert” technical expertise in the ERP area and the underlying technologies
  • Shares knowledge and resources globally
  • Develops best practices for Solution Area and develop/ deliver internal tech-talks/ brown-bags at level to improve team readiness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical pre-sales, technical support, or technical consulting experience
  • OR 5+ years of technical pre-sales, technical support, or technical consulting experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with relevant technologies (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, Microsoft platform)
  • Languages: native/fluent English are mandatory
  • multi-language is a plus
  • Exceptional oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in English, multi-language is a plus
  • Good product knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Commerce and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management
  • Experience developing and customizing solutions using X++ and Dynamics 365 F&O frameworks
  • Exposure to LOB integration scenarios with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce would be a plus
  • Current Microsoft certification(s) in the technologies supported
