The Partner Technical Consultant supports Microsoft partners by identifying requirements and offering tailored technical recommendations. The primary experience should be with Security and added advantage would be knowledge on Microsoft’s Modern Workplace products. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders in Asia to enhance engagement and partner outcomes. Candidate will also need strong teamwork skills, and the ability to deliver strategic insights while upholding technical standards in a fast-paced environment. Partner Technical Consultant (PTC) cultivates Microsoft Partner capabilities by facilitating the delivery of proactive consultative services to support their needs. You will support Partners to accelerate their sales cycle by helping them design, develop and deploy customer solutions based on Microsoft technologies and methodologies. Your primary focus will be supporting presales, driving skills transfer, adoption of Microsoft products & solutions, and deployment to help drive the partner business. The role is primarily technical with a strong Security solution focus.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Microsoft partners, helping them build secure, compliant, and scalable solutions
Drive partner readiness, technical enablement, and workload activation aligned to Microsoft’s Zero Trust principles and compliance standards
Proactively review partner feedback to identify and understand the drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, determine the root cause, and establish recovery actions to improve experience
Guide Partners with transitions/migration to the Microsoft 365 cloud services such as tenant setup and service configuration
Help partners design and develop cloud-specific security policies, standards, and procedures
Guide partner in one-to-one consultation to provide solutions to their customer environment within primary or minor solution areas
Use business, technology, and industry strategies to define customer/partner requirements and constraints
Assess partner needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions or best practices
Help Partners strengthen their Security Infrastructure by recommending the best Microsoft Security products and enabling Partners on the same
Be a Trusted Advisor by guiding partners to adopt Microsoft best Practices to help them sell / deploy Microsoft Security Solutions for their customers
Proactively and continuously learn new technology in the respective solution area and build knowledge in additional solution areas
Develop and maintain knowledge in intellectual property (IP)
Records and updates labor in incident-management tool
Document case status logs a record of their labor and activities on valid solutions and has timely engagement and follow up with partners
Records and updates technical and professional skills in a tracking tool
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years of technical pre-sales, technical support, or technical consulting experience
OR 3+ years of technical pre-sales, technical support, or technical consulting experience
1+ year(s) experience with relevant technologies (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, Microsoft platform)

Design and administration skills for Exchange Online, Experience with Exchange Migrations, IMAP, On-Premises to Online and public folder migration, Skills with Exchange Transport and Client Access, good understanding of Autodiscover service and Exchange ActiveSync (EAS)
Experience with supporting, planning, designing and implementation of Microsoft Sharepoint Online, Hybrid Scenarios, OneDrive for Business implementation, Migration of files to Microsoft 365
A solid understanding of Windows 365 including its provisioning, management, and integration with Microsoft Endpoint Manager
Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot including the ability to design, deploy, and optimize AI-powered productivity experiences across Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Understanding of prompt engineering, semantic search, and AI-driven automation
Knowledge of other Microsoft Cloud Solution will be a plus (Azure, Dynamics, Power Apps, Power Automate, Project Online)
Demonstrate expertise in planning, building, and deploying solutions across Microsoft’s AI portfolio
ISV and Marketplace Skills
