As a Partner Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving the success of Cisco’s partner ecosystem and delivering innovative, automated infrastructure solutions to our customers.
Job Responsibility:
Automation & Innovation: Helping Cisco partners and customers adopt automation practices for configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of Cisco’s infrastructure and solutions
Partner Co-Innovation: Collaborating with Partner Business Group (PBG) teams to jointly develop differentiated Cisco solutions with partners—leveraging forward-looking ideas to drive market leadership and competitive advantage
Customer-Centric Solutions: Shaping strategy for selected accounts by understanding business challenges and aligning Cisco solutions to help partners and customers succeed
Advisory Engagement: Acting as a trusted advisor—guiding customers and partners on technology adoption, architecture best practices, and operational efficiencies
Technical Evangelism: Delivering impactful presentations, demonstrations, and value propositions to a variety of stakeholders (technical and business)
Best Practice Sharing: Promoting internal and external knowledge-sharing on sales and deployment approaches for complex solutions
Collaborative Escalation: Working closely with Technical Support to ensure rapid resolution of critical customer issues
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in a pre-sales or systems engineering role, ideally within the networking or cloud infrastructure space
Deep expertise in one or more Cisco architectures (Networking, Security, Collaboration, Data Center, Cloud)
Experience engaging and enabling Partners in both technical and strategic conversations
Familiarity with competitive solutions and how Cisco positions against them
A proactive, high-ownership mindset—you take initiative, solve problems, and "go the extra mile"
Strong communication skills—verbal and written—tailored for technical and executive-level audiences
Ability to translate customer business needs into technical solutions with clear justifications
Continuous learning attitude, with active participation in virtual teams, architecture groups, and community forums
