Joining as Partner, Cost Management, you will be a key leader within our London office and play a central role in strengthening and expanding our Commercial Sector offering. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role suited to an experienced and forward-thinking Partner who thrives on developing teams, driving client growth, and delivering excellence across complex commercial projects. You will champion our Cost Management capability within the commercial sector—spanning office, mixed-use, workplace, urban regeneration, and wider commercial development—while supporting the evolution of our national service offering.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and grow the London Cost Management team with a strong focus on the Commercial Sector
Shape and deliver a strategic business plan for commercial cost management, aligned to office growth targets and sector priorities
Play a prominent role in the leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making, operational performance, and staff development
Drive business development initiatives to expand our commercial portfolio across private developers, funds, occupiers, and major commercial clients
Build, nurture, and maintain trusted relationships with existing and new clients, acting as a senior point of contact
Identify emerging opportunities within the commercial market and convert these into sustainable revenue streams
Oversee delivery of high-value, complex commercial projects, ensuring best-in-class cost management and commercial advice
Lead client meetings and multi-disciplinary teams, owning project outcomes from inception to completion
Maintain rigorous quality and technical standards across all cost management outputs
Inspire, coach, and mentor junior and mid-level colleagues to support their professional growth and chartership progression
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture, promoting innovation, learning, and accountability
Requirements:
Degree qualified in a relevant cost management, surveying, or construction discipline (RICS-accredited or equivalent)
Extensive experience delivering high-value, complex commercial sector projects within a consultancy environment
Strong leadership capability, with experience growing teams and enhancing service offerings
Proven commercial acumen with excellent negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging at senior levels internally and externally
Ability to build long-term, trusted client relationships and drive repeat business
Robust technical cost management expertise and the confidence to act as a trusted advisor
Nice to have:
MRICS chartered status preferred (support available for those pursuing it)
