It starts with our people, which is why we need a Partner Accounting - Reconciliations Accountant to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with prior relevant experience to utilize their skills at a leading law firm. The Reconciliations Accountant will assist the Partnership Accounting and Tax team who are based within the London office. The role will have responsibility for multi-currency cash and accrual account reconciliations to Elite 3E in transaction, unit and firm currencies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting the Partnership Accounting and Tax team with detailed partner accounting and tax reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of individual partner accounts to the cash and accrual balances within Elite 3E. This involves consolidating reports, reviewing balances in transaction, unit and firm currencies along with the preparation and posting of multi-currency journals in Elite 3E
  • Historical profit allocation and tax reserve journals

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of all or most of the key tasks outlined above
  • Minimum of three years relevant experience working within a professional services or accountancy practice in a similar role, ideally within a law firm
  • Spreadsheet knowledge. Microsoft Excel skills are required
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy are essential
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbally and written, with the ability to critically review
  • Enjoys working with people, both remotely and in person with colleagues located in London
  • Pride in accuracy, and a high level of administrative competence
