Far more than a supply pool, our participants are a community of engaged contributors who make high-quality human data possible for AI labs, researchers, and enterprises. We're looking for someone to own our marketing around the participant experience, building the trust, connection, and engagement that keeps our community thriving and positions Prolific as the platform of choice for quality-conscious contributors. This is a new role in the Marketing function, aligned to our Supply business unit. You'll work closely with Marketing, Growth, Product, and Ops teams to ensure participants feel heard, valued, and informed — which directly impacts data quality, retention, and Prolific's reputation in the market.
Job Responsibility:
Design and run participant engagement programs that drive loyalty and retention, including seasonal campaigns, challenges, prize draws, recognition initiatives, ambassador programs, and advisory boards
Own participant-facing content and education, producing newsletters, platform updates, training programs, webinars, case studies, and user-generated content in collaboration with internal and external experts
Build and evolve the participant brand and value proposition, clearly communicating the tangible and intangible benefits of participating on Prolific across global and specialist segments
Lead participant trust and transparency communications, including messaging around data quality standards, verification processes, policy changes, and product updates to drive adoption and confidence
Be deeply embedded in participant communities, engaging across channels such as Reddit, Discord, forums, and review platforms, monitoring sentiment, moderating discussions, and responding quickly to concerns
Bring the participant voice into Prolific, designing feedback loops, conducting participant research, and advocating for participant needs in product, supply, and strategic decision-making
Monitor market and competitor trends to ensure Prolific remains the best-in-class platform for online research participation and AI training
Requirements:
5+ years in community management, product marketing in a B2C or marketplace environment
Track record of building authentic relationships at scale, not just transactional marketing
Experience creating and running engagement programs that drive measurable behavior change
Content creation skills — you can write newsletters, develop messaging, create educational content
Comfortable working in high-growth, high-autonomy environments and building programs from scratch
Experience working with global, distributed communities
