This position opening is for an individual to serve, as both, a part-time Academic Administrator (50%) and part-time Adjunct Professor (50%) position. Academic Administrator position serves as the director of the Master of Advanced Study in Maternal and Child Nutrition self-supporting degree program and provides intellectual leadership and management of program resources. Working with the Maternal and Child Nutrition graduate program chair, the program director provides leadership for all facets of the program and is responsible for the quality and consistency of the program including development, coordination, and oversight of the overall curriculum, classes, program planning, management of day-to-day operations including supervision of program staff, coordination of committees and meetings, student advising, oversight and direction of student capstone projects, budgeting and expenditures, management of external liaison and accreditation efforts, and communicating with the program chair. Adjunct Professor position involves predominately teaching as well as participation in research and scholarly activities within the designated expertise of Maternal and Child Nutrition. he Nutrition department will compensate the teaching portion of the appointment through the self-supporting Master of Advanced Study in Maternal and Child Nutrition program, while the research portion will be self-funded, with research effort se on a variable basis.
