SEN Teaching Assistant: Make a Difference Every Day! Are you passionate about working with children and making a real impact? We're looking for enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to join an amazing team at a school dedicated to supporting autistic children.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and support pupil learning
  • Provide individualised support, helping pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and personal care needs
  • Contribute to making learning exciting and accessible for every pupil

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Level 2/Grade C or above)
  • A strong understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Access to your own transport
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special needs
  • A collaborative team player
  • A proactive learner

Nice to have:

  • CACHE level 1 or 2
  • CACHE level 2 or 3
  • early childhood studies degree
  • health and social care experience
  • health and social care qualifications (NVQ)
  • HLTA
  • NVQ level 2
  • NVQ level 3
  • NVQ level 4
  • background in youth work
  • experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • experience with autism spectrum disorders
  • experience with learning difficulties
  • experience with social emotional mental health
  • mentor experience
