Job Description:

justteachers are working with a primary school in the Ilkley area looking to recruit a part time Teaching Assistant to work in their reception class. You will predominantly be working 1:1 with a pupil who needs some extra support with communication and integrating into the classroom. This role is offered over 3 days and will start as soon as possible.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with some SEN needs
  • Assist with classroom activities and interventions
  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and pastoral team

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils in a primary setting
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice
  • Resilience and patience and a nurturing nature
  • Ability to provide two education-based references
