We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic part-time Teacher of Drama and Music to join a supportive secondary school on the outskirts of Leeds from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate performing arts specialist who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire confidence and creativity, and contribute positively to a vibrant arts curriculum.
Job Responsibility
Deliver engaging Drama and Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
Plan creative, well-structured lessons that encourage confidence, performance, musical understanding and self-expression
Support students in developing practical skills, teamwork, communication and creative thinking
Assess progress effectively and provide constructive feedback to help learners achieve their potential
Contribute to the wider performing arts department, including clubs, showcases, productions or enrichment activities where required
Requirements
UK QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching Drama, Music or Performing Arts in a secondary school setting
Ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons that support students of mixed abilities
Strong classroom management, organisation and communication skills
Confident supporting practical performance work and encouraging student participation
