Job Description

Xpert Resourcing are working with a local business, based close to Ely who are seeking a dedicated Part Time Tax Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, successful and supportive business. The ideal candidate will possess strong Tax skills and experience and ideally be CTA part qualified / qualified (or STEP qualified) and looking to work 3 days a week with 2 of these from home and 1 day in the office with the rest of the team. A job share will also be considered. The position is suitable for those looking to develop their expertise in tax preparation and accounting practices within a flexible, part-time capacity. Please note the quoted salary is for full time hours and so will be pro rata.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring compliance with current legislation
  • Deal with complex Tax cases and work closely with the client
  • Complete Personal Tax for clients
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations affecting clients' financial obligations
  • Prepare Capital Gains Tax computations
  • Assist clients with Inheritance Tax and Trust and Family Estate Tax Planning

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a similar Tax role
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of the above areas of Taxation (Personal, Capital Gains, Inheritance etc)
  • Ideally be CTA qualified or part qualified
  • Proficiency in accounting software including Xero
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of financial planning techniques and strategies
  • Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and team members
