Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-time Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will play an integral part in managing essential accounting functions, including financial reporting and general ledger maintenance. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in corporate tax and sales tax who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare accurate journal entries to ensure financial data integrity
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Participate in month-end closing processes to finalize financial statements
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Handle corporate tax filings and prepare corporate tax returns
  • Manage sales tax reporting and compliance requirements
  • Assist with audits by organizing and providing necessary documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and tax laws

Requirements:
