Job Description:

Part-time teaching opportunities for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing - BSN program. Courses may include Fundamentals of Microbiology with Lab or Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab. Courses may meet one or two times per week during the daytime or evenings for eight weeks. Commitment is on a course-by-course basis.

Job Responsibility:

Develops and provides students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus
Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials
Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software
Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students
Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories
Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives
Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students
Completes other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements:

Earned a master's or doctorate degree in the course subject, with a minimum of 18 or more graduate credit hours earned directly in the topic
Able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from a regionally accredited institution (or a NACES approved US course-by-course equivalency evaluation for degrees earned and conferred outside of the US)
Have taught or been told you’re a “natural” at teaching and helping others learn
Possess genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning
Have exceptional subject matter expertise as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
