We are looking for a detail-oriented Part Time Receptionist (25-30 hours per week) to support daily front office activities for a contract opportunity in San Diego, California. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing a busy reception area, providing a welcoming experience for visitors, and handling a high volume of incoming calls efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome visitors, clients, and vendors at the front desk and ensure a courteous and organized arrival experience
Manage a multi-line phone system and respond to a heavy volume of inbound calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate contacts
Maintain smooth day-to-day reception coverage by monitoring the front desk and addressing routine administrative needs
Sort, distribute, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail in a timely and accurate manner
Organize, update, and maintain physical and digital filing systems to support office efficiency
Assist with administrative tasks related to increased call activity and changing office support needs
Support office operations during a period of elevated volume following the rollout of a new software platform
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or similar administrative support role
Proven ability to handle a multi-line phone system in a fast-paced office environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, employees, and callers
Experience managing high volumes of inbound calls while maintaining accuracy and composure
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage filing, mail handling, and front desk responsibilities
Dependable, punctual, and able to provide consistent support throughout the contract assignment
Comfortable working in a part-time or flexible reception coverage arrangement, if needed
