We’re looking for a motivated and professional Receptionist, dedicated to providing a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, customers, and callers, while supporting the smooth running of the office.
Job Responsibility:
Greet and assist all visitors, clients, and suppliers in a friendly and professional manner
Answer incoming calls, directing enquiries or taking accurate messages as required
Manage incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and ensure items reach the appropriate department
Support the office with general administrative tasks, including photocopying, scanning, filing, and stationery management
Maintain a tidy and presentable reception and meeting room area, ensuring facilities are ready for use
Assist the Office Manager & PA to the CEO with meeting coordination and travel arrangements when required
Handle enquiries professionally and confidentially
Work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders
Act in accordance with Van Elle’s policies and procedures, undertaking any other duties reasonably required to support the effective running of the office
Requirements:
Experience in a receptionist or front of house role, ideally within a busy office or construction environment
Flexibility to provide additional cover for the afternoon Receptionist during periods of holiday or absence, sometimes at short notice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident telephone manner
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Friendly, approachable, and able to build positive relationships at all levels
Practical, logical, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional approach
Proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
