Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Receptionist to join our team in Williamson, New York, on a contract basis. In this role, you will provide essential front-desk support, ensuring smooth communication and efficient handling of inquiries. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operations of a non-profit organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a multi-line phone system, ensuring calls are answered promptly and routed to the appropriate departments
  • Provide attentive and courteous assistance to visitors and callers, addressing inquiries effectively
  • Operate the switchboard system to handle inbound calls across up to 10 lines
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area that reflects the organization’s values
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records
  • Ensure timely communication between staff, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Handle part-time receptionist duties with flexibility and attention to detail
  • Support the team with additional clerical responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in receptionist or front-desk roles, preferably within a non-profit setting
  • Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and switchboards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups
  • Ability to handle inbound calls with professionalism and efficiency
  • Organizational skills to maintain a well-functioning reception area
  • Flexibility to adapt to part-time hours and dynamic office needs
  • Familiarity with basic administrative and clerical tasks
  • High level of reliability and attention to detail in all responsibilities
