The key purpose of the Part-Time Primary Art Teacher position is to inspire and develop students’ creativity, artistic skills, and self-expression through engaging and developmentally appropriate visual arts education. The teacher will deliver high-quality art lessons that encourage imagination, exploration, and confidence while supporting the school’s vision and values. The role also contributes to fostering a positive classroom environment and enriching the wider school community through creative learning experiences and student showcases where appropriate.
Job Responsibility
Creating Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students and are in line with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements
Supporting and Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students' in-class and at-home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students are challenged and supported in reaching their potential
Building a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each other's flourishing, feel valued and supported, and are ready to take risks in their learning
Collaborating and Sharing Best Practices: Work closely with colleagues as an active member of our learning community, sharing best practices, collaborating with colleagues, and dedicating yourself to your own professional development

Requirements
Relevant qualification in Education, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience teaching primary-aged students, preferably in an international school environment
Strong knowledge of age-appropriate art techniques, creative processes, and classroom activities for young learners
Ability to create engaging, student-centered, and inclusive learning experiences
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for nurturing creativity, confidence, and self-expression in children
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership
Professional, reliable, flexible, and committed to student wellbeing and safeguarding
Good organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in spoken and written English is preferred
