24x7 Group is one of the largest independently run companies in the UK, delivering contracted special education transport for Local Authorities and have been providing Home to School Transport Service for children with special educational needs and vulnerable adults since 2001. With increased demand from County Councils, we now have opportunities for people like you to join our friendly team across the country. Be part of the 24x7 Team and make a positive difference to your local community! This role involves accompanying children to school on transport (Child Workforce LW 9) and conveying adults who need to be transported due to age, illness, or disability (Adult Workforce LW 12). The position therefore meets the definition of regulated activity under both child and adult workforce legislative wording and is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check with relevant barred list checks.

Job Responsibility

  • Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres
  • To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company
  • To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and the key people at the establishments they attend
  • To assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, which includes - cars, 8 seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles
  • To be patient and empathic with the passengers and be able to keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys

Requirements

  • Pass an enhanced criminal record check as you will be working with children, young persons and/or vulnerable adults
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • First Aid Training - and willing to undergo advanced specialist medical training
