Job Description:

A respectful and welcoming family in Newport are seeking a capable and confident nanny to care for their 9-year-old daughter. They are looking for someone reliable and proactive, who can provide both nurturing care and practical household support.

Job Responsibility:

  • School drop-offs, pick-ups, and driving to after-school activities
  • Homework supervision and support
  • Occasional cooking for the child
  • Light household tasks including laundry, making beds, and general tidying
  • Caring for and spending time with the family’s friendly dog

Requirements:

  • Driver’s licence and own car (family car available on occasion if required)
  • Previous nanny or childcare experience
  • Childcare qualifications desirable but flexible

  • Manage freelancers, additional support staff and subcontractors as needed including – repair men, A/V consultants, lift maintenance, decorators, gardeners, plumber, dog walkers, florists, waiters for more formal events, storage facility, steam room specialist, window cleaners, etc.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with the family office, PAs, and principal’s driver to ensure all household members have full visibility of family movements
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive household systems including a house manual, inventories, maintenance schedules, packing lists, and supply management
  • Lead on property maintenance and minor renovation works — obtaining quotes, overseeing contractors, and ensuring best value
