Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Engineer to support the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the property. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and committed to maintaining a high standard of service.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment, systems, and building areas
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Assist with room turns and public area upkeep as needed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs

Requirements

  • Prior maintenance or engineering experience preferred (hospitality experience a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule with required availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to providing a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and team members
