Job Description:

Office Angels are in search of an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established Scottish law firm based in the heart of Aberdeen City Centre. As the role is based on 20 hours per week, there is a lot of flexibility around how the hours are worked. Possible combinations are 3 full days or 5 mornings/5 afternoons or accommodation of school hours. Our client is open to discussion around a working pattern which suits the individual.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing and registering Dispositions
  • Preparing Discharges & LBTT documentation
  • Ordering redemption statements
  • Dealing with post-completion follow up documentation
  • Audio & Copy typing
  • Lodging Advance Notices
  • Updating clients on the progress of their case
  • Liaising with other parties to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements:

  • Previous experience and knowledge of conveyancing work within the Scottish legal system
  • Knowledgeable in LBTT
  • Copy/audio and dictation experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous employment history within a professional services or legal environment
