Job Responsibility:

  • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
  • dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures
  • removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
  • mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
  • cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
  • gathers and empties trash
  • wipes and cleans tabletops and chairs
  • cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
  • services, cleans, and supplies restrooms
  • cleans glass doors
  • keeps janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintains equipment in good working order
  • requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
  • performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • no experience required and on the job training provided
  • no high school diploma, GED or college degree required
  • Customer service experience
  • 1 year of similar work experience
