Knowledge of IV therapy and strong IV initiation skills
Ability to work independently with no back up
Ability to perform general nursing duties
Ability to work on computer EHR system
Able to get along well with coworkers, physicians and management

Job Responsibility

Bring patients to the infusion department, obtaining vital signs as appropriate
Provide patient education regarding infusions as necessary
Prepare the patients for their infusion, initiating and implementing the patient care plan
Assure patients have annual TB gold test drawn
Administer medications and intravenous solutions
Maintain accurate and complete recording and reporting
Implement physician orders, keeping physicians abreast of their patient's ongoing care
Assist with patient scheduling
