Job Description:

The ICCA School of Music at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach courses in Music. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Music appreciation, applied music, and ensembles. Part-time faculty may teach up to nine credit hours, depending on departmental needs. Applicants will be screened and contacted as departmental needs for part-time faculty arise. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach courses as assigned at the times and in the locations necessary to meet the needs of EKU students
  • Teach courses in Music
  • Teach courses in Music appreciation, applied music, and ensembles
  • Teach up to nine credit hours, depending on departmental needs

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or Terminal degree in relevant discipline or master's degree with concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline)
  • Earned Master's degree in Music, or have appropriate unique skills pertaining to the job assignment
  • Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application
  • Official transcripts are required at the time of the position offer and as a condition of employment
