Requirements

1 or more years of experience as a server or related position
Ability to work in a fast-paced, chef-driven environment
High attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to carry a tray with food and/or drinks
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Thinks clearly, quickly, and maintains concentration during high pressure situations
Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
Must be able to move, pull or lift at least 35 pounds
Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift

Job Responsibility

Focuses attention on guest needs and responds promptly
Provides expert knowledge of food and beverage menus to guests, guiding them through their experience
Maintains complete knowledge of all menus, including ingredients and techniques used
Runs all food and beverages to the dining room
Maintains complete knowledge of table and seat numbers
Greets and acknowledges all guests, providing a positive dining experience
Accommodates all request for information courteously
Accomplishes all assigned side work throughout shift
Takes direction from Chefs
Leads a team of 3 staff members through an intricate service

Job Responsibility

Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in casual dining by carrying trays offering beverages and proactively meeting service needs
Create memorable moments in fine dining by warmly greeting tables guiding residents through menu selections accurately taking orders and serving a full range of courses from beverages to desserts
Keep the dining room looking its best by clearing and resetting tables carefully handling dishes filling and refilling water carafes and setting tables before meals
Help keep things clean and organized by vacuuming carpets cleaning the salad bar and completing other cleaning tasks as needed
Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly positive attitude
Listen and respond kindly to resident comments or concerns and share feedback with a manager or supervisor when needed
Jump in and help where needed by completing support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers
